Amos Newton Fulkerson was a Civil War Veterin who fought for the Union.  He was a teacher, Justice of the Peace, Farmer, Pioneer and greatly involved in the community.  Amos also had a temper about him and many physical Ailments due to the war and years of hard backbreaking work.  These two things are partly what lead him and Rebecca to a bitter divorce.  Read the full narritive on amos HERE.
